Dynacast works with organizations all over the world, helping bring their ideas to life with the highest quality precision engineered metal components on the planet. Customers can come from virtually any industry—consumer electronics, automotive, healthcare, or any other where only the very best is good enough. And each benefits from our 80+ years’ of experience pioneering the techniques and technologies that have redefined the industry. It means that every customer receives insight and expertise that adds value at every stage of the design and manufacturing process. It’s why today, across multiple industries and multiple geographies, Dynacast is the name synonymous with precision metal components. Certifications and Metallurgical Inspection: Certified ISO/TS 16949:2009 ISO Medical Certification ISO 13845:2003 Federal Firearms License 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 In addition to our certifications we are ITAR compliant and supply components for the US military. Our lab equipment for monitoring our manufacturing process and feedstock compounding include; Microtracks for inspection of powder particle size, tap density, oxygen / nitrogen analyzer, carbon / sulfur analyzer, helium pycnometer, capillary rheometry and hardness tester. MIM has come a long way in recent years. It now offers the levels of precision, consistency, and productivity that make it an ideal solution for a wide range of demanding applications. Our global engineering teams can assist in design for manufacturing (DFM), part consolidation for cost savings, component assembly and fully integrated tool construction for molds, secondary fixtures and custom setter plates.

The OptiMIM Difference:
• Routinely produces green parts in 1.5 seconds that would previously take 25-40 seconds
• The registration of a die face measures just 0.0015 inches - you get radically reduced alignment errors
• And next-generation MIM has been shown to achieve a higher Cpk than in conventional MIM processing

Here is a summary of OptiMIM’s MIM capabilities:

Materials: OptiMIM has a state of the art feedstock compounding operation capable of producing the latest materials and we can custom blend to meet your needs. Some common materials are; stainless steels, carbon steels, chromium-molybdenum steels, cobalt alloy, copper and titanium.

Markets Served: Medical, automotive, telecommunications, consumer goods, industrial components, military and sporting goods.

Specialties: Complete design and manufacturing services: the latest CAD/CAM software; Pro-Engineer, Solidworks, MagmaSoft for mold flow simulation and project management. In-house tool room along with a dedicated tooling division.

Manufacturing Capabilities:
Rapid prototyping, utilizing the latest technology, OptiMIM can typically supply sintered samples in less than 2 weeks.

Molding Machines: OptiMIM 4-slide machines with 8 tons of clamping force. Arburg All-rounder 370E molding machines.

Maximum Part Weight: 454 grams or 1 pound.

Sintering: Utilizing the latest technology our vacuum batch furnaces range from 2, 9 and 30 cubic feet. The furnaces are capable of using argon, nitrogen and hydrogen allowing sintering a wide variety of alloys and produce superior surface finishes. Our nitrogen and hydrogen generators allow us to produce lab grade processing gas.

In-House Secondary: CNC machining, dedicated tapping machines, in-house design and build of automation equipment including in-house custom feeder bowls for high volume applications. Assembly work for value added.
